Friends have told me I’m loving, empathetic, and good-natured, and I’m looking for someone who shares those qualities. I’m a happy person who loves to laugh and make others smile. I think the right person makes everything more fun, whether you’re exploring a foreign country together or just cuddling on the couch talking or watching a show.
I'm passionate about seeing new places and trying new activities. I love to travel and go to theme parks, aquariums, museums, cultural events, comedy clubs.--anywhere there’s new things to see and do. I also take a lot of pleasure in sharing the small things with someone like cooking, grocery shopping, and walking the dog.
Conversation is important to me, and it’s my hope to find someone who enjoys both deep and light-hearted talks.
Favorites:
Books: Classic literature, including The Scarlett Letter, Oscar Wilde's plays, Wuthering Heights, The Awakening, 1984, and The Jungle. I've also been reading a lot of non-fiction lately. Topics that fascinate me include psychology (especially personality theory) and relationship dynamics.
Movies: Cyrano de Bergerac (with Kevin Kline), Inglorious Bastards, Django Unchained, Like Water for Chocolate, and documentaries.
Shows: Anything that can make me laugh--especially British comedies such as Are You Being Served?, Keeping Up Appearances, Mrs. Brown's Boys, and Miranda. I also love most things on PBS.
Music: Anything that sounds good from industrial music and electronica like NIN to classic country, classic rock, and motown. I love early 90s grunge and alternative bands like Pearl Jam and Gin Blossoms. I also listen to informative podcasts and non-fiction audiobooks.
Food: Southern soul food including fried chicken and catfish, barbeque, and Mexican food. I enjoy trying food from other cultures.
